Qualifications

Unfortunately, up to now, there is no rule, law or regulation as to the qualification of a Personal Trainer. This is bad news if you are employing someone to look after your health and fitness and that person should be ill qualified.  So it is up to you to make sure that you sign up with a Fitness Professional who holds recognized certificates.

I have trained with one of the best in the fitness industry: the Central YMCA.

I am not only a qualified YMCA Gym Instructor for Cardiovascular and Resistance Machines but I hold the prestigious YMCA Personal Trainer Award, which covers all aspects of fitness training including that for Older Adults, or, for instance sufferers of Back or Mobility Problems or someone who has suffered a Stroke.

I have furthered my knowledge by studying with the Gayton Group to gain a Certificate in GP Exercise Referrals, which qualifies me to take on any client suffering with any illness up to, and including, Cardio IV Rehabilitation. This means that I am qualified to train you whether you suffer with Asthma or Diabetes, whether you are young and fit or a Senior and chair bound, suffer with Arthritis or had Heart Surgery and have been through the initial rehabilitation programme in hospital.

Further more I am a Member of the Register of Exercise Professionals and an Associate of the Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management.

My background in studying Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry and Physics at University Level is your assurance of employing a very well qualified Instructor.
